Upcoming Project

Supplemental Rebuilding Subsidies

To support families and communities impacted by disasters, supplemental rebuilding subsidies should be provided through a vetted and approved government process.

These subsidies may include:

  • Direct financial assistance where possible, to help households stabilize and begin recovery.

  • Provision of building materials to facilitate reconstruction of homes, schools, and community infrastructure.

  • Housing down payment assistance for displaced families, ensuring access to safe and permanent housing solutions.

All programs must be administered with transparency, accountability, and equity, ensuring that aid reaches those most in need and strengthens long-term resilience.

Past Project

COVID-19 Relief Efforts – 2021

In 2021, the Building Stronger Communities Foundation (BSCF) provided critical COVID-19 relief to Cornwall Regional Hospital (CRH) in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Through the generosity of our supporters, we raised over $3,500 USD, which was used to purchase much-needed medical supplies. These supplies were formally presented to the hospital’s leadership, strengthening frontline capacity during one of the most challenging periods of the pandemic. This initiative demonstrated the power of diaspora collaboration and reaffirmed BSCF’s commitment to serving communities in times of crisis.

Current Project

Relief efforts for hurricane Melissa currently provide immediate relief such as clothing, food, and other well needed alternatives for power and lighting supplies.
